Legacy Wise Experiences
How this works
Legacy Wise Experiences is building its college basketball season around interest first. Tell us which tournaments, games, and teams you want — on the interest form, you can name your school and the kind of outing you prefer. We finalize dates based on the interest we receive, and when a date is finalized and opens for booking, registered guests hear about it first. Registering interest does not reserve a seat and does not commit you to anything — it simply puts you first in line for news on the dates you choose.
On the form, look for the College Basketball interest options, and use the notes field to name your team — St. John's, Seton Hall, UConn, Rutgers, Villanova, or any other school — and your format: a tournament session, a rivalry game, a women's game, or a Palestra trip.
Tournament season — March 2027
Four conference championships within easy reach of Staten Island, all in the same stretch of March. Register interest in one — or in all four — and tell us which sessions matter most to you.
Big East Tournament — Madison Square Garden, New York
Wednesday, March 10 – Saturday, March 13, 2027. College basketball's longest-running conference tournament at one venue, with St. John's, Seton Hall, and UConn all in the field. Our lead sessions are the Semifinals on Friday, March 12 — two games with the four remaining teams — and the Championship on Saturday, March 13. Quarterfinal sessions on Thursday, March 11 are also collecting interest, including for alumni chapters, parishes, clubs, and other groups.
Atlantic 10 Championship — Barclays Center, Brooklyn
Wednesday, March 10 – Sunday, March 14, 2027. A full 14-team championship in Brooklyn, with the Semifinals on Saturday, March 13 and the Final on Sunday, March 14 — a Selection Sunday matinee, with the tournament bracket revealed later that same day. Quarterfinal sessions on Friday, March 12 are also collecting interest.
Metro Conference Championships — Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City
Thursday, March 4 – Tuesday, March 9, 2027. A combined men's and women's championship week in Atlantic City, pairing championship basketball with a day in Atlantic City. The Women's Final is Monday, March 8 and the Men's Final is Tuesday, March 9, with weekend sessions on Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7 also collecting interest. Local programs in the league include Monmouth, Rider, Saint Peter's, Manhattan, and Iona.
Ivy Madness — The Palestra, Philadelphia
Friday, March 12 – Sunday, March 14, 2027. The Ivy League's men's and women's tournaments — the top four teams in each — at the Palestra in its 100th season. One of the most storied gyms in college basketball, and an intimate, alumni-style tournament weekend unlike any other in this lineup.
Big games — marquee matchups
Three headline games collecting interest for potential group outings from Staten Island. Dates finalize based on interest — registering is free, with no payment due.
Jimmy V Classic — Madison Square Garden, New York
Tuesday, December 8, 2026. A one-ticket doubleheader: Alabama vs. Houston and Georgia vs. Duke — four national programs on one night at the Garden, benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Seton Hall vs. UConn — Prudential Center, Newark
Saturday, January 9, 2027. A Saturday-night Big East matchup in Newark — Seton Hall at home against UConn, one of the biggest draws in college basketball, on the shortest trip in this lineup.
St. John's vs. UConn — Madison Square Garden, New York
Friday, January 29, 2027. The regular-season flagship: St. John's hosts UConn at the Garden on a Friday night in prime time.
Women's college basketball
Two women's events collecting interest, headlined by UConn — the biggest draw in the women's game.
Coretta Scott King Classic — Prudential Center, Newark
Monday, January 18, 2027 — Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A daytime doubleheader: UCLA vs. Oklahoma, followed by UConn vs. Seton Hall — the local team in the headline game, on a holiday afternoon in Newark.
Big East Women's Tournament — Mohegan Sun Arena, Connecticut
Friday, March 5 – Monday, March 8, 2027. The Big East women's championship tournament at Mohegan Sun, with the Championship game on Monday, March 8. UConn's home away from home — and the centerpiece of women's tournament week.
More basketball — interest list only
The dates below are interest list only. No group outing is scheduled for these dates, and registering does not reserve a seat for them. We are collecting interest in these games to shape future college basketball dates — if interest is strong, similar matchups and future editions are where group outings are most likely to be built. Join the interest list and you will be contacted first about future basketball dates as they are finalized.
CBS Sports Classic — Madison Square Garden, New York
Saturday, December 19, 2026. A one-ticket doubleheader: Kansas vs. Ohio State and North Carolina vs. Kentucky. This date falls on the same day as another Legacy Wise program, so it is interest list only for 2026 — registering your interest helps us plan future basketball dates.
Saturday, December 5, 2026 — a full day of basketball
- St. John's vs. Arizona — Madison Square Garden, New York
- Women's Champions Classic — Barclays Center, Brooklyn: Michigan vs. Oklahoma and UConn vs. Maryland, single admission
- Men's Big 5 Classic — Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia: a tripleheader, three games on one ticket
December 5 is already a fully-booked Saturday in the Legacy Wise calendar, so these games are interest list only. Registering your interest in them tells us where to build future college basketball dates.
Bringing a group?
Alumni chapters, parishes, social clubs, and fathers-and-sons and family groups are a natural fit for tournament week — especially weekday quarterfinal sessions. If you organize a group, register your interest and note your group and your school on the form, or call (929) 515-5159 and ask about our Group Leader benefit.
Don't see your team or your game? Register anyway and name your school in the notes — interest in other college basketball dates is collected under the same list, and the dates that draw the most interest are the ones we build next.
Questions, answered
What does registering my interest do? It puts you on the Legacy Wise Experiences — Staten Island Interest List for college basketball. When a date is finalized and opens for booking, guests on the interest list are contacted first.
Does registering cost anything, or commit me? No. Preregistration is free, no payment is due, and there is no obligation. You decide whether to book if and when a date opens.
Why aren't prices listed? These dates are at the interest stage, before group terms are set. Pricing is announced to the interest list when a date is finalized — registering is how you hear it first.
Which teams will be playing in the tournaments? Tournament fields and brackets are set by each conference as the regular season ends, so no specific team can be promised for a tournament session. The named games on this page — the classics and the rivalry matchups — are scheduled regular-season and showcase games.
Anything else? Call (929) 515-5159 — a person, not a phone tree.
