Fiscally Fit Credit Repair

Credit Records Before You Ask for Help

Original Legacy Wise educational resource

Consumers organizing their own records and factual questions for credit assistance.

Keep the source report intact

Use your own current reports obtained through an appropriate source. Record the provider and report date. Keep originals in secure storage and use masked references in worksheets. Separate what a report says from what you believe may be inaccurate. Do not alter source documents to make a concern easier to explain.

Describe concerns factually

For each concern, record the exact entry, why you believe it is inaccurate and the evidence you already have. Mark facts that need confirmation. Avoid blanket claims about every negative item or copying a dispute statement unrelated to your circumstances. Ask for qualified assistance when the issue involves identity, legal proceedings or facts you cannot verify.

Track correspondence and dates

Keep the communication reference, sending date, recipient, documents supplied and response received. Use the correct current process from the relevant organization. Do not put sensitive identifiers in ordinary email. Calendar follow-up dates based on instructions actually received or advice from a qualified professional, rather than using this workbook as a legal deadline calculator.

Review outcomes without guarantees

Compare the response with the original concern and preserve both records. Record whether the entry changed, the question remains open or further assistance is needed. A changed report entry does not establish a guaranteed score increase or lending result. Monitor factual changes and decide next steps with an appropriate professional where needed.

Use this checklist

This pack does not promise deletions, score changes, loan approval or a dispute outcome. It does not replace individualized legal or financial advice.
